Special Interview: Oliver Adair from “Memoirs of a Gigolo: Volume Two”

31 Oct

Today is a very special day here at The Tarasphere. In celebration of her new release, “Memoirs of a Gigolo: Volume Two”, the lovely Livia Ellis has arranged for everyone’s favorite male escort to sit down with yours truly and chat for a bit. I can feel your jealousy from here. As far as interviews go, it was short, but oh so sweet. So, sit back, grab a cool beverage (you’ll need one) and say hi to Oliver. Here’s how it went…..

TW: Oliver, thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to sit down with me and answer a few questions.

OA: (sly smile) I’m never too busy for you. You know you’re my petal.

TW: (flustered) You’re too kind. First, have you read “Memoirs”? I know it’s your story, but have you sat down to read how Ms. Ellis has captured your tale? If so, what did you think?

OA: (fiddles with the cuff of his Brooks Brothers shirt) Frankly, I think she could have made more of an effort to use better language. When I wrote my journals there was little self-fashioning and never did I imagine there would be a wider audience. Could be a bit prettier. Perhaps a bit more of the quivering member and shuddering bosom lingo and fewer cocks and tits might be nice. That graphic realism is a bit cold at times. But I suppose it’s not always a pretty story. That’s the truth. Reality is often hard. I’m curious to see what her interpretation of events are.

TW: As am I. You have a distinct outlook on life, more specifically, on women. Does this outlook have any effect on your work?

OA: (brow furrows on a small, adorable frown) Is my outlook on life distinct? Why do you think that, darling? Personally, I think I’m the most ordinary of men. I just want to live a quiet life filled with comfort and ease.

TW: Comfort and ease? Interesting. Some might consider you a misogynist, given your line of work. How do you respond to that?

OA: (offers me a bright smile) I love women. (shakes his head and bats long lashes at me) No… I adore women. I love everything about women –  from your overprocessed hair to your neurotic little toes. What’s not to love?

TW: You paint a flattering picture, don’t you? Now, we know that you entertain both male and female clients. Which do you prefer and why?

OA: (rubs a distracted hand over his knee in thought) That depends on the mood I’m in. I’m like the weather – always changing. Probably the number one reason this career is the ideal for me. It’s never the same twice and if it’s not what I want, I have a tremendous capacity to change the situation.

TW: You’re making this sound awfully romantic, but that can’t always be the case. What is your favorite type of client (gender notwithstanding)?

OA: The client that doesn’t know what they want, but is willing to let me just do my job and help them discover what they want. What do you want, Tara? What would make you happy? You might be surprised when you really think about it.

TW: (blushes furiously and lets out a nervous laugh) Oh, my. I think that may be a question for another interview. A private one. What is one surprising thing you’ve learning since becoming a paid escort? I say “paid escort” because I can’t look at you and say “gigolo” without some serious giggling.

OA: (laughs lightly and clucks his tongue) That I adore older women. I simply adore them. They don’t have the same issues younger women have. They know who they are and what they want. That is sexy.

TW: What is your favorite cocktail?

OA: (leans back casually in the chair as if bored) That is an interesting question with no single answer. I’m developing my own martini, but really, does anything beat a perfectly balanced G&T? Speaking of which, be my angel and fetch me another.

TW: Of course. (hands him another drink) What is your favorite place in the world?

OA: (leans forward with a predatory smile) Wherever you are of course.

TW: (fidgets in seat) Oh, yes, well, how nice. Umm, favorite sexual position?

OA: (flutters his lashes and nods to the chaise) Why don’t we try a few and figure that out?

TW: (stammers pitifully) I-I don’t think there’s time for that today, unfortunately. What is your favorite part of your job? (crosses fingers and hopes he says “interviews”)

OA: (chuckles softly at my discomfort) Interviews with delightful American women that make a perfect G&T.

TW: At least I can oblige you there, Oliver. Now, where do you see yourself in five years? Ten?

OA: (without missing a beat) On a beach in Greece rubbing suntan oil between your toes. (Cheshire cat grin)

I’m afraid that’s all the time he was able to spare for me today. Rushing off to another client, I suppose. *fans self* It’s probably a good thing, as well. Anyway, I hope to hear more from Oliver and have him back again in the future. A big shoutout to Livia Ellis on her new release and her commitment to keep Oliver doing what he’s doing so well. Happy Reading!!

Biography and where to find Livia online:

Were I to write a personal ad about myself it would read as follows:
Blond. Blue. 5’6″. A lady never discloses her weight, but I’ve never had any complaints. I only run if I’m being chased by a gun wielding maniac, but I do love yoga. Bit of a shoe hound. Have had issues passing up handbags. Trying to learn to play the Irish harp. Enjoy both theater and concerts. Love to read fantasy and science fiction. Am not ashamed to admit I adore Star Trek. Have a picture of myself (dressed as a nun) and the late Patrick Swayze (dressed as a medieval warrior) in a frame (Yes – I did cry when he died). Perpetual student with advanced degrees that are mostly useless when seeking job opportunities outside academia. Vivid imagination. Sexually adventurous only on paper. I never know what to say when people end a conversation with ‘god bless’. Occasionally play the lottery – but generally only when I’m feeling really poor. Love to travel. Fluent French speaker. Seeks readers whom enjoy what I write.
